Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Neto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and San Vedita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Antonio Neto has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Antonio Neto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, San Vedita!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neto shoots in but Vedita avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Vedita throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Neto takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Vedita shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Neto manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Vedita lands a couple of digs.
Vedita advances position into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neto avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Vedita.
Vedita throwing shots but missing, from side control.

Neto is pushing Vedita's head away, looking to escape. Vedita manages to hold on to the position though.

Vedita tries for a kimura but Neto is defending well.

Neto parries the strikes from Vedita easily there. Vedita is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Neto to escape.

The ground and pound from Vedita seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Neto throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vedita's waist but Vedita gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Neto off to one side.

Vedita darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Neto is breathing heavily.
Neto wants to get back to his feet.
Vedita is looking to take a break and control but Neto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Vedita thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Neto's head.

Neto tries to kick Vedita off but Vedita keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Vedita wants to advance to full mount but Neto doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Vedita looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Vedita fails with an attempt to clinch.
Vedita throws a sloppy head kick and Neto moves out of range easily.

Vedita shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Vedita was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Neto is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Neto is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Vedita looking to control and managing it successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Neto wants to get back to his feet.
Vedita throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Vedita putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Vedita is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Neto is surviving well by controlling Vedita's body position as best he can.
Neto tries to buck Vedita off but he can't manage it.
Neto manages to regain half guard whilst avoiding the strikes.
Neto is refusing to be controlled, as Vedita sits in half guard.
Vedita is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Vedita is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Neto reverses the position - he's now on top in Vedita's guard.
Vedita wants to stand but Neto is controlling the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Neto throws a head kick that misses.
Vedita tries for a takedown but Neto sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Neto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Vedita tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

San Vedita dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Vedita fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
San Vedita seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Neto tries a head kick but it misses.
Neto shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Vedita defends it nicely.

Neto is looking to escape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Vedita is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Vedita working over Neto with some ground and pound. Neto looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Vedita not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Neto avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Vedita.

Vedita is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Neto is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
