The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
da Independente lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Cruzoe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? da Independente is fending him off so far but Cruzoe persists. Nope, da Independente circles away and we're back to standing.
Cruzoe rushes da Independente and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

No joy there for da Independente, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

da Independente is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Cruzoe flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Cruzoe is out cold! da Independente holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
