Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Snow Crash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andre Felipe!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Felipe shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Crash defends it nicely.
Felipe shoots in for a takedown but Crash shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Snow Crash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Felipe.

Crash is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Felipe's half guard.

Felipe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crash. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Crash connects with a nice short shot to Felipe's temple.
Felipe tries to get to full guard but Crash has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Crash has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Crash postures up in Felipe's guard and throws a big left but Felipe blocks it.
Crash throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Felipe works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Crash keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Felipe's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Felipe has momentary wrist control but Crash slips an elbow through the middle.
Crash loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Felipe is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Felipe utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Felipe keeping moving, preventing Crash from controlling successfully.
Felipe is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Crash slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
