The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves throws a nice looking combination but Kambo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kambo dives in and grabs Alves's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alves pushes down on Kambo's head and hops out.
Alves takes a swing at Kambo's ribcage but misses.
Alves misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Alves just misses with a punch to the body.
Kambo tries to clinch up but Alves circles away and keeps his distance.

Alves scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Kambo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Alves paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Quess Kambo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Alves rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kambo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Alves lands an overhand right.
Alves jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kambo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Alves defends it nicely.
Alves throws a series of strikes that have Kambo backpedaling.
