Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Monteiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thie Lion!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lion throws a hook but Monteiro blocks it.
Monteiro tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lion was well out of range. Poor timing from Monteiro.
Lion throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Lion dodges the punch combination from Monteiro.
Lion misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lion keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Monteiro stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Monteiro wants it to stay on the feet.
Monteiro swings for the body but Lion moves out of range.
No joy there for Monteiro, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lion connects with a body shot.
Monteiro misses with the combination.
Monteiro misses with a looping left.
Lion has a takedown stuffed.
Monteiro keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Daniel Monteiro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thie Lion.
Lion dives in and grabs Monteiro's left leg, looking for a takedown. Monteiro pushes down on Lion's head and hops out.
Thie Lion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lion takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Lion looks gassed!
Monteiro throws out a powerful jab.

Horrible takedown by Lion or perhaps it was just good defense by Monteiro which made him look bad.
Monteiro connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Lion tumbling to the canvas! Monteiro pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Lion was done - good stoppage!
