Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aviram Gilad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fidel Castroz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Aviram Gilad has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Aviram Gilad seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilad moves out of range as Castroz throws a body kick.
Gilad avoids the head kick by Castroz.

Gilad takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Gilad looks to land a body kick but Castroz moved away.
Castroz dives in and grabs Gilad's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gilad pushes down on Castroz's head and hops out.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gilad drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Castroz manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Gilad has Castroz in his guard.

Gilad has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Castroz is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gilad.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Castroz lands a big shot there that rocks Gilad but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Castroz lands a nice short elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gilad postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Castroz is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gilad, into his guard.
Castroz wants to control from the top but Gilad keeps moving.
Castroz won't allow Gilad to sweep him here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Castroz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gilad has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Castroz has managed to get both his arms back between Gilad's legs - danger averted.
Castroz is looking to work some ground and pound but Gilad has wrist control.

Gilad isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Castroz stacks Gilad on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Castroz!

You can see the frustration on Gilad's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
