The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Satomi shoots in and drives through. Nighthawk sprawls well.
Satomi looks for a takedown but Nighthawk sprawls well.
Satomi shoots in but no luck this time.
Vane Nighthawk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Che Satomi.
Satomi fails with the takedown.
Nighthawk tries to clinch up but Satomi circles away and keeps his distance.

Satomi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nighthawk misses with a series of wild punches.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Satomi fails with the takedown.

Satomi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nighthawk swivels and escapes.

and Nighthawk counters with a left and a right that stings Satomi.

and Nighthawk counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Satomi is lucky that one didn't land flush.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nighthawk throws a right and a left that Satomi avoids nicely.

Nighthawk closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Nighthawk stands up and beckons Satomi to his feet.

and Nighthawk counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Satomi's guard now.
Nighthawk has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Satomi is on top in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Satomi drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nighthawk dives on top into guard.

Satomi is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Nighthawk frees his head nicely. Oh but Satomi has switched to an armbar! Nighthawk is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
