Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Mangum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wiley Alpha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mangum comes to the cage accompanied by Neutral Milk Hotel. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alpha keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mangum takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Alpha moves out of range as Mangum throws a body kick.
Alpha scores with a jab to the body.
Mangum keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Mangum is looking to clinch but Alpha is avoiding it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mangum. Alpha does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mangum tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alpha paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mangum throws a sloppy head kick and Alpha moves out of range easily.

Alpha will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Alpha throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Alpha looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Alpha connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Mangum pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Mangum throws a push kick but Alpha slaps the foot to one side.

Mangum doesn't manage to clinch there - Alpha circles away.

Alpha clobbers Mangum with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

It looks like Jeff Mangum has been cut.
Alpha's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Alpha duly obliges.
Alpha connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mangum momentarily.

Mangum drops his hands momentarily and Alpha takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Alpha bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Mangum is rocked!
Alpha closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Mangum! Alpha dives in looking to finish! Mangum is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
