Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sonnen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Henderson sprawls well. Henderson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sonnen gets slowly back to his feet.
Henderson stuffs the takedown.
Chael Sonnen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sonnen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Henderson as he avoids it easily.

Henderson closes the distance and pushes Sonnen back into the cage.
Henderson lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Sonnen drops down looking for an ankle pick but Henderson pulls his leg out and moves away.

Henderson rushes Sonnen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Sonnen has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Henderson is trying to keep an underhook but Sonnen manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Sonnen could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sonnen stops Henderson from getting back to his feet.
Henderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sonnen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Henderson wants to improve his position but Sonnen is controlling well.

Sonnen is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Henderson is looking to get back to full guard here but Sonnen has managed to pass to side control instead.
Sonnen postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Henderson looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sonnen lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Henderson hang on?
Henderson tries to reverse the position but Sonnen maintains control.
Henderson manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Sonnen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Sonnen is looking to take a break and control but Henderson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Henderson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sonnen is working away from the top position though.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Sonnen fails with a takedown attempt.

Sonnen is breathing heavily.
Sonnen takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Henderson tries to clinch there but Sonnen circles away.

Henderson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Henderson manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Sonnen is working for takedown but Henderson is calmly controlling the position for now.
Still in the clinch, Henderson scores with a nice short uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Henderson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Sonnen up against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Henderson lands a right hand that snaps the head of Sonnen backwards.
Oh Sonnen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A right handed body shot lands from Henderson.
Sonnen seems to have got his legs back now.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Henderson circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Sonnen to the canvas! Sonnen doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Henderson keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
