Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ahmed Hussein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Mean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mean has chosen Pantera - Fu*king Hostile as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mean avoids a punch combination nicely.
A punch combination from Hussein misses.
Mean takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Hussein throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mean tries to clinch but Hussein moves out of range.
Mean scores with a head kick.
Mean on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Mean pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Xavier Mean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hussein gets a takedown into half guard.
Hussein wants to free his trapped foot but Mean is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Hussein is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mean is just riding it out for now. Hussein eventually gives up the hold.
Hussein is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mean has managed to free his arm - good work.
Hussein is breathing heavily.

Hussein is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mean controls Hussein momentarily but Hussein frees himself.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hussein rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mean moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hussein scores a takedown into full mount!
Hussein can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mean is looking to escape.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Hussein throwing strikes here but Mean is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Mean regains half guard.
Mean is looking to improve his position.
Mean is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hussein's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hussein's back!
Hussein has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Mean.
Hussein manages to reverse the position and now he's in Mean's guard. Nice work there by Hussein.
Hussein drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hussein jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Mean looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hussein is one step ahead there.
Hussein lands a couple of elbows.
Mean is trying to control the position but Hussein postures up.
Hussein drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hussein jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

and Mean holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mean successfully pulls guard.
Mean keeping moving, preventing Hussein from controlling successfully.
Hussein drops back looking for a leg! Mean is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mean manages to kick Hussein off! Hussein jumps back into Mean's guard.
Mean looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hussein is one step ahead there.
Hussein wants to control from the top but Mean keeps moving.

Mean moves in looking to clinch but Hussein pushes him off.
Mean throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hussein misses with a jab, cross combination.
Mean attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Mean stalks Hussein and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hussein's face. Hussein staggers backwards, shaken.
Ahmed Hussein is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hussein misses with a takedown attempt
and Mean counters with a takedown into side control.
Mean in side control lands a decent elbow.
Mean working the head and body with strikes.
Hussein gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Hussein wants to control but Mean is keeping busy.
Hussein moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Hussein preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mean wants to pass the guard but Hussein is keeping the position.

Mean with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hussein is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mean defends well.
Hussein controls Mean momentarily but Mean frees himself.

Mean with a nice head shot there.
Hussein manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Mean wants to hold on but Hussein pushes him away.
Mean tries to control the position but Hussein now has his back.
Mean tries to roll but Hussein sticks to his back.
Mean defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Hussein's arms.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Mean rolls, trying to escape but Hussein keeps control of the position.
Mean turns into Hussein and is now in his guard.
Hussein is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Mean frees his head nicely. Oh but Hussein has switched to an armbar! Mean is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
