Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Michael Batista!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Russel Jacksson!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacksson is looking to clinch but Batista is avoiding it.
Batista shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jacksson but Jacksson pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jacksson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Batista swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Batista does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Nice defenses there by Batista.
Batista stalks Jacksson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jacksson's face. Jacksson staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Russel Jacksson has been cut.

Batista stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Batista wants it to stay on the feet.
Jacksson looks for a takedown but Batista sprawls well.

Batista fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jacksson manages to avoid it.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jacksson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Batista.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Jacksson might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Batista has got the better of the exchanges.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jacksson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Batista circles away quickly and effectively.

David Michael Batista showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Batista has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
