Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Willy Cody (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and rafael aurelio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). rafael aurelio has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Willy Cody!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, rafael aurelio!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Cody.

aurelio shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than aurelio was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Cody is squirming around, avoiding aurelio's attempts to control the action.
Cody is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
aurelio looking to land elbow strikes but Cody uses the position to regain half guard.
Cody keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cody blocking the ground and pound attempt from aurelio.
Cody wants to control but aurelio is keeping busy.
aurelio is looking to take a break and control but Cody is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

aurelio is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Cody is looking to clinch but aurelio is avoiding it.
aurelio moves in looking to clinch but Cody pushes him off.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cody tries to clinch

and aurelio counters with a single leg into guard. Cody didn't expect that.

Cody kicks aurelio off and gets to his feet.

Cody gets a clinch.
aurelio drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Cody escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Cody darts in and clinches aurelio up against the cage.
Cody connects with a knee to the head.

It looks like rafael aurelio has been cut.
Cody misses with a knee to the head.
Cody scores with a knee to the head.
Cody jumps guard but aurelio stands there with Cody around his waist. Cody gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Cody breaks from the clinch.
Cody tries to clinch but fails miserably

and aurelio counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
aurelio trying to control from Cody's half guard. Cody has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
aurelio trying to control but Cody is working from the bottom.
aurelio looks gassed!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cody wants to stand and escape but aurelio is having none of it.
aurelio stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cody swivels though and keeps the full guard.
aurelio wants to control from the top but Cody keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Cody scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Cody clinches but aurelio breaks the clinch

and aurelio counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cody won't be happy with that.
Cody is pushing aurelio's head away, looking to escape. aurelio manages to hold on to the position though.
Cody wants to control but aurelio postures up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Cody stops aurelio from passing to mount.
Cody is trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

aurelio drives through and clinches with Cody against the cage.

Cody breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Whack! Cody lands a heavy head kick that drops aurelio. The ref tackles Cody to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because aurelio was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Willy Cody!
