Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Kronic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacque St Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacque St Martin told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Martin tries to close the distance and clinch but Kronic swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kronic shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
St Martin slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
St Martin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kronic controls the pace.
Kronic throws a big right hand that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kronic is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! St Martin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! St Martin has escaped and now he's on top!
Kronic doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Kronic manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

St Martin is looking to get to half guard.

Kronic is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. St Martin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Kronic avoids the attempt from St Martin to control.
St Martin holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kronic tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Kronic can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as St Martin is looking to escape.

Kronic postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. St Martin looks a forlorn figure.
Kronic lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
St Martin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
