Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Murphy MacManus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Murphy MacManus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Lance Storm!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Columbo Gatti and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacManus connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
MacManus scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Storm moves into the clinch.
Storm using the Thai plumb to throw knees but MacManus has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
MacManus is trying to maintain a safe position but Storm gets an underhook and turns MacManus into the cage.
Storm tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Storm with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Storm jumps guard and drags MacManus to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Storm wants to control but MacManus postures up.
MacManus is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Storm will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

MacManus has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

MacManus darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
MacManus throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

MacManus throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

MacManus shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Storm's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
MacManus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Storm swivels though and keeps the full guard.
MacManus slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Storm is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
MacManus is pushing down on Storm's leg trying to pass to half guard. Storm is fighting to maintain full guard but MacManus has managed to sneak the leg through.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

MacManus remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Storm has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Storm shoots in for a takedown but MacManus shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

MacManus fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Storm is out of range.

MacManus misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
MacManus will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

MacManus is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
MacManus's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Storm is still on wobbly legs! Can MacManus finish him?
MacManus connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Storm tumbling to the canvas! MacManus pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Storm was done - good stoppage!
