Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bezerra da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Schillaci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bezerra da Silva looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schillaci circles away from the clinch attempt.
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Schillaci tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Schillaci to the ground. Schillaci escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Schillaci misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Schillaci sprawls well initially but Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Silva connects with a nice short shot to Schillaci's temple.
