Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Heandler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Leonidas Castro!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castro fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Heandler avoids it really well and circles away.
Heandler looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Castro shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Heandler but Heandler pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Heandler throws a good cross that connects.

Heandler stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Heandler wants it to stay on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Castro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Heandler's waist but Heandler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Castro off to one side.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Castro is defended easily by Heandler.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Heandler doesn't manage to clinch there - Castro circles away.
Castro changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Heandler tries to avoid it but Castro manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Heandler to the ground. Heandler escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
