Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rich Hard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Monomah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hard comes to the cage accompanied by Wild Boys. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monomah wants to clinch up but Hard keeps it at a distance.
Vladimir Monomah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monomah dives in and grabs Hard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hard pushes down on Monomah's head and hops out.
Monomah looks for the body kick but Hard saw that one coming.
Hard avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hard displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Monomah.
Monomah throws a head kick that misses.

Monomah doesn't manage to clinch there - Hard circles away.

Hard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Monomah decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Hard has one foot on Monomah's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Hard jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Monomah walks away with a smile on his face. Hard gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Hard shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Monomah sprawls well. Monomah wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hard gets slowly back to his feet.

Monomah is looking to clinch but Hard is avoiding it.

Hard darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hard's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

and Hard counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Hard wants to control from the top but Monomah keeps moving.

Hard stands and steps away. Monomah gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Hard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Monomah's waist but Monomah gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hard off to one side.

and Hard moves into the clinch.

Hard prevents a takedown attempt there.
Hard tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Monomah just stands there and leans against the cage.

Monomah wants to get back to striking at distance but Hard won't allow it.
Hard fails to pull the fight into his guard.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hard looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hard doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Monomah counters with a single leg into guard. Hard didn't expect that.

Hard has his feet on Monomah's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Monomah jumps guard but Hard stands there with Monomah around his waist. Monomah gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Monomah tries to throw a body punch but Hard avoids it by throwing Monomah back against the cage.
Monomah is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hard is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Monomah to the mat. Monomah regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Hard seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Rich Hard overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hard stands up from Monomah's guard - Hard perhaps looking for a knockout.

Hard shoots in for a double leg but Monomah sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Monomah throws a head kick that misses.
Monomah tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hard paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Hard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Monomah lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Monomah buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hard is looking to clinch but Monomah is avoiding it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Monomah is trying to stand up here but Hard is controlling him well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hard prevents Monomah from improving his position.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rich Hard.
I think Hard has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
