The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sobral closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brown circles away.
Sobral shoots in looking for a takedown. Brown tries to sprawl out of it but Sobral keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brown manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Brown gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Sobral avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Brown is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Brown is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sobral throws a series of punches but Brown avoids them all with ease.

Brown moves into the clinch successfully.
Sobral is looking to break free of the clinch but Brown has double underhooks.

Brown has picked Sobral up - he's going for a ride! Brown dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Sobral wants to control but Brown is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Sobral tries to roll over but Brown keeps him under control.

Brown not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Sobral is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sobral is working for a kimura but Brown is defending it quite comfortably.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sobral lands a couple of digs.
Brown throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Sobral tries to stand but Brown is controlling from the bottom.
Sobral throws and elbow that misses. Brown uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sobral's guard. Nice move by Brown!
Brown stands up over Sobral, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Brown must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Brown drops back looking for a leg! Sobral is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sobral manages to kick Brown off! Brown jumps back into Sobral's guard.

Brown is posturing up here but Sobral has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Brown tries to roll out but it's too tight and Brown has to tap! Slick submission there by Sobral!
