The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donalds connects with the punch.
Almeida drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Almeida is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Donalds tries to free his leg and advance position but Almeida is retaining full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Almeida takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Almeida closes this distance looking for a takedown but Donalds circles away.

Almeida is breathing heavily.
Donalds scores with a crisp jab that stopped Almeida in his tracks.

Almeida shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Almeida shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Donalds but Donalds pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Donalds wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Donalds lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Almeida at a distance.
