Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brett Trowbridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Simon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simon is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: your gonna pay. Robert Simon told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simon throws a right and a left that Trowbridge avoids nicely.

Simon is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Trowbridge's half guard.
Simon is trying to control. Trowbridge wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Simon dives in and grabs Trowbridge's left leg, looking for a takedown. Trowbridge pushes down on Simon's head and hops out.

Simon gets caught flat footed, as Trowbridge shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Simon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trowbridge. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Simon has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Trowbridge off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Robert Simon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brett Trowbridge has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Simon.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Trowbridge has hold of Simon's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Simon manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
