PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brian Fury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Augustus Machiavelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fury kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rammstein - Te Quiero Puta. Machiavelli has chosen August Burns Red - "11th Hour" as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machiavelli lands a right hook to the body.
Nice defenses there by Fury.
Fury uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Machiavelli.
Augustus Machiavelli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Machiavelli misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fury shoots in for a takedown but Machiavelli shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Machiavelli is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Fury.
Machiavelli shoots for a double leg takedown but Fury sprawls well. He's pushed Machiavelli's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Machiavelli is defended easily by Fury.
Fury shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

It looks like Brian Fury has been cut.
Fury defending well as Machiavelli loads up on a big left hand.
Machiavelli lands a really nice looking cross but Fury seems unphased.
Machiavelli throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Machiavelli shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Machiavelli was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Machiavelli moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Fury has worked his arm free - good work by Fury!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fury manages to get back to half guard.

Fury tries to roll over but Machiavelli keeps him under control.

Machiavelli is trying for a kimura here. Fury looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Machiavelli wins by kimura!
