PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dean Winchester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Brinkley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Winchester comes into the arena with Carry on my Wayward Son blaring out of the sound system. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brinkley throws a shot from downtown. Winchester moves away and avoids it.
Winchester fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A lazy left from Brinkley finds it's target.
Winchester checks the leg kick nicely there.
Brinkley throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Winchester shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brinkley as he avoids it easily.
Brinkley misses with a jab, cross combination.
Winchester tries to clinch but Brinkley is having none of it.
Winchester showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Brinkley.
Brinkley scores with a jab. Winchester acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Brinkley gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Winchester tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dean Winchester. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Winchester fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Brinkley breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Winchester gets control of Brinkley's arms and successfully pulls guard. Winchester will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Winchester is working an open guard so Brinkley takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Brinkley lands a left and a right that send Winchester crashing to the mat, dazed. Brinkley thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Brinkley lands a big uppercut and Winchester crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Winchester looks OK. Brinkley waves Winchester back to his feet!

Winchester jumps guard but Brinkley stands there with Winchester around his waist. Winchester gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Brinkley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Winchester tries to pull guard but Brinkley holds him up against the cage and eventually Winchester drops back down to his feet.

Brinkley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Winchester tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Brinkley just stands there and leans against the cage.
Winchester fails to pull guard.
Winchester tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Brinkley smiles and moves away.
Jesse Brinkley is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Brinkley lands a body shot.
Brinkley throws a nice head kick!
Brinkley feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Winchester's calf.

Brinkley has taken the fight to the clinch.

Brinkley is looking to clinch but Winchester is avoiding it.
Brinkley wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Brinkley cracks Winchester with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Winchester looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Brinkley finish him?
Brinkley lands with a big left! Winchester is wobbled badly! Brinkley comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Winchester to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
