Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between The Iceman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gravy Train (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, The Iceman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gravy Train!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Train is trying hard to land a takedown here. Iceman sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Iceman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Train moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like The Iceman has been cut.
Train goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Iceman tries to clinch but Train moves out of range.
Train avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Train scores with a leg kick.
Train swats away the attempt to clinch by Iceman.
Train tries to score a power double leg takedown but Iceman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Train somewhat.
Iceman scores with a hook.
Iceman stuffs the takedown.
The Iceman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gravy Train.

Iceman drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Train trying to keep a closed guard but Iceman is proving a slippery customer.
Iceman tries to free his leg and advance position but Train is retaining full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Iceman looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Iceman prevents Train from getting back to his feet.
Iceman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Train trying to control the position.
Iceman trying to control but Train is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Iceman chips away with some ground and pound.
Iceman wants to control from the top but Train keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Train misses with a takedown attempt - Iceman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Train scores with a head kick.
Horrible takedown by Train or perhaps it was just good defense by Iceman which made him look bad.
Train looks gassed!

Iceman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Train working for a triangle but Iceman defends it easily.
Train working a defensive guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Iceman thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Iceman sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Iceman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Iceman stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Train avoiding damage as Iceman throws knees to the body.
Iceman takes an elbow to the forehead.

Train breaks from the clinch.
Both fighters circling a little - Train finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Train wants to clinch but Iceman slips to the side

and Iceman counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Iceman lands a shot to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Iceman wants to break free but Train has control.

Iceman jumps guard and drags Train to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Train has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Iceman is proving hard to escape from.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Gravy Train will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on The Iceman's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


A slapping leg kick lands for Train.

Iceman changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Train looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Iceman is looking to take a break and control but Train is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Train pushes Iceman away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Iceman gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Iceman throwing strikes but Train manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ground and pound from Train seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Train is working Iceman over with some ground and pound from side control.
Iceman on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Iceman tries to get out of the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Train is working to tighten is grip on Iceman's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Iceman has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Train is really squeezing tight and eventually Iceman passes out! Train breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Gravy Train!
