The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kang takes a swing at Machida's ribcage but misses.
Machida works the jab nicely.
Machida lands a lovely overhand right.
Kang avoids a punch combination nicely.
Machida connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Kang tries to close the distance and clinch but Machida swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Machida keeps the fight on the outside.
Kang tries to clinch but Machida is having none of it.
Nice straight punches there by Machida. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Machida.
Machida thuds his right hand into Kang's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Machida ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kang misses with a combination
and Machida counters with a series of strikes. Kang will be more careful next time no doubt.

Kang misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kang goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Machida lands with a nice combination. Kang backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Khru Kang has been cut.
Kang throws a sloppy head kick and Machida moves out of range easily.
Machida fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Machida throws a body kick that misses.
Machida connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Machida lands a lovely overhand right.
Kang moves out of range of the body kick from Machida.
Kang shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Machida moves into range and connects with a jab.
Kang looks gassed!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kang drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Machida checks the leg kick.
Donk. Machida catches Kang right on the button with a cross.
Machida stalks Kang and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kang's face. Kang staggers backwards, shaken.

Kang is rocked!
Machida lands with a right that hurts Kang. Kang looks to clinch but Machida throws a short knee that drops Kang. This one is all over!
