Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pearl Whites (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Whites is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Enter Sandman. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Adams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pearl Whites!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Adams throws a head kick that misses.

Adams moves into the clinch.
Adams prevents the takedown attempt.
Whites can't get the takedown.
Adams holding his opponent close, against the cage.

Adams has picked Whites up - he's going for a ride! Adams dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Adams performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

Whites actively working from the bottom here.
Whites misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Adams wants to free his trapped foot but Whites is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Whites is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like Adams is going to stand back up.

Whites is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Adams pulls his head out easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Whites shoots in and bounces Adams off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Adams is pulling down on Whites's head to control his posture.
Adams tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Whites drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Adams manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Whites has Adams in his guard.
Whites looks gassed!

Adams passes Whites's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Adams blocks the strikes from Whites.
It looks like Adams is going to stand back up.
Adams content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Adams is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Adams seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Whites misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Whites tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Whites punching from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Adams has taken the fight to the clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Adams.
Whites jumps guard but Adams stands there with Whites around his waist. Whites gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jason Adams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pearl Whites.
Adams with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Adams lands a nice knee to the body.

Adams jumps guard.
Adams working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Whites.
Whites trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Whites throws and elbow that misses. Adams uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Whites's guard. Nice move by Adams!
Adams wanted to stand there but Whites had control of the position.

Whites keeping moving, preventing Adams from controlling successfully.
Adams looking to pass the guard.
Adams sitting in guard here, content to control.
Whites is looking to sweep but instead, Adams has passed into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Whites trying to control but Adams postures up.
Adams prevents Whites from improving his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Adams throws a leg kick but Whites sees it coming and moves out of range.

Adams is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Whites's half guard.
Still in half guard, Adams seems content to control.
Adams trying to advance position but Whites counters by regaining guard.
Whites wants to control but Adams passes easily into half guard.
Whites is looking to control Adams's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Whites avoid being mounted?

Whites looking for submissions off his back.
Whites is breathing heavily.
Adams trying to control from half guard but Whites is working away.

Adams wants to pass to mount but Whites is defending the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Adams misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Adams tries to clinch up but Whites circles away and keeps his distance.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Whites with a poor takedown

and Adams counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Adams.
Whites tries for a takedown. No joy.
Whites is trying to drag Adams to the mat but Adams just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jason Adams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pearl Whites.

Adams jumps guard.
Adams not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Adams looking for a sweep. Not yet Adams, not yet.
Adams keeping moving, preventing Whites from controlling successfully.
Adams keeping full guard, as Whites tries to pass.
Whites trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Adams throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Adams is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Adams looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Whites with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Adams trying to control the action but Whites is working from the bottom.
Whites wants to improve his position but Adams is controlling well.

Adams decides to stand up.
Adams misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Adams with a poor takedown

and Whites counters with a nice double leg into side control. Adams won't be happy with that.
Adams is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Whites's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Whites missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Adams wants to control but Whites is keeping busy.
Adams regains full guard. Nicely done.
Whites controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Whites trying to stand up but can't free himself from Adams's guard.
Adams lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Whites!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Adams dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and Adams counters with a shoot takedown. Whites fights it but they end up in guard.

Adams slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Whites is trying to improve his position.
Adams tries to advance to mount but Whites denies him.

Adams has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Adams looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Whites is fending him off so far but Adams persists. Nope, Whites circles away and we're back to standing.

and Whites counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Adams's guard now.
Adams is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Whites is controlling him.
Adams is adopting a defensive guard.

Adams has his foot on Whites's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Whites works his way back into a safe position though.
Whites scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Whites got a little sloppy there for a moment and Adams has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Whites has managed to get both his arms back between Adams's legs - danger averted.
Adams avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Whites is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Whites won't allow Adams to sweep him here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Whites fails with the takedown

and Adams counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Whites's guard now.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Adams stopping the sweep attempt from Whites.
Adams stands up over Whites, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Whites working for a triangle but Adams defends it easily.
Adams wants to control from the top but Whites keeps moving.

Whites has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Adams can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Adams postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Adams seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Whites throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Whites wants to sweep here but Adams controlling him for the moment.
Whites doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Adams is working Whites over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Adams slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Whites.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jason Adams showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Adams, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
