Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marko Mielikanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maximus Meridius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mielikanen kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Häjyt. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mielikanen moves away from the strike by Meridius.
Mielikanen tries a low kick but Meridius avoids it.
Mielikanen is looking to clinch but Meridius is avoiding it.
Meridius misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mielikanen takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Mielikanen rushes Meridius and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mielikanen throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Meridius's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Meridius throws the left hand but Mielikanen avoids the punch easily.
Meridius thows a body shot but no joy.
A low kick from Meridius is predictable there
and Mielikanen counters with a slapping leg kick.
Mielikanen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Meridius.

Mielikanen instigates a clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Mielikanen obliges.
Meridius looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mielikanen misses with a hook from the clinch.
Mielikanen connects with a nasty looking knee right to Meridius's face.
Mielikanen doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Mielikanen creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Meridius's defenses.

It looks like Maximus Meridius has been cut.
Mielikanen avoiding damage.

Meridius avoids the elbow strike from Mielikanen, against the cage.

Mielikanen lands a knee to the head.
Mielikanen has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Meridius - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Mielikanen, and another! Meridius is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
