Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Infamous (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicolas Ring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nicolas Ring looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Infamous!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nicolas Ring!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ring takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.


It looks like Nicolas Ring has been cut.
Ring is looking to land body kicks.
A lazy left from Infamous finds it's target.
Ring misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Infamous gets caught flat footed, as Ring shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ring looks gassed!

Ring avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Infamous wants to sweep here but Ring controlling him for the moment.
Infamous manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ring is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Infamous has taken his back.

Ring is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The referee is taking a good look at Ring as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Infamous!

Infamous looking to break Ring's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Ring remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Infamous will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Infamous throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Ring!

Ring is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Infamous gets his way!
I really don't envy Ring right now.

Ring changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Infamous tries to avoid it but Ring manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Infamous to the ground. Infamous escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A head kick misses from Ring.

Infamous is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ring's half guard.
Infamous wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ring keeps working.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ring can do anything to dispel that myth.

Infamous escapes and gets back to his feet.

Ring with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Infamous to score with a decent uppercut.

Ring gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Infamous has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Infamous drops back looking for a leg! Ring is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ring manages to kick Infamous off! Infamous jumps back into Ring's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Ring takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
A nice combination there by Infamous.

Infamous has control of Ring's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ring regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Well Infamous has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
