The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matan shoots for a double leg takedown but Gunn sprawls well. He's pushed Matan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gunn stuffs the takedown.

Gunn drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Gunn passes Matan's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Gunn is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Matan reverses the position - he's now on top in Gunn's guard.
Gunn controls Matan momentarily but Matan frees himself.

Gunn has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Matan doesn't defend quickly enough and Gunn has managed to lock this one up! Can Matan escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Gunn on a fantastic submission victory.
