The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kazuhiro shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kazuhiro was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Ortega on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ortega tries to get out of the position.
Kazuhiro swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Ortega is now in Kazuhiro's guard. A big mistake from Kazuhiro there, giving up the dominant position!
Kazuhiro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kazuhiro is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Kazuhiro is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Ortega has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Kazuhiro has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Ortega taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Kazuhiro doesn't care though - he's delighted!
