Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane McGillick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McGillick.
McGillick looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Silva closes the distance and clinches.
McGillick tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Silva just stands there and leans against the cage.
Silva is pressed up against the cage. McGillick has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Silva down to the mat. Silva avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

McGillick is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Silva has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McGillick knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
