The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Narropol tries to clinch up but Joe circles away and keeps his distance.

Narropol tries to close the distance and clinch but Joe swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Narropol changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Joe tries to avoid it but Narropol manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Joe to the ground. Joe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Narropol utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Joe has gone for a leg lock! Narropol slips out almost immediately though and dives into Joe's guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Narropol's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Narropol doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

and Joe counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Narropol is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Joe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Joe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Narropol is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
