Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Tarasenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bronko Nagurski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tarasenko might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Johnny Cash - When The Man Comes Around. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vladimir Tarasenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bronko Nagurski!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nagurski shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tarasenko as he avoids it easily.

Tarasenko moves into range and clinches up with Nagurski.
Tarasenko drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Nagurski gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Tarasenko is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Nagurski dodges an elbow strike from Tarasenko.
Nagurski blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Tarasenko lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Tarasenko jumps guard and drags Nagurski to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Nagurski sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tarasenko's guard.

Nagurski stands up and beckons Tarasenko to join him on the feet.
Nagurski dives in and grabs Tarasenko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tarasenko pushes down on Nagurski's head and hops out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Tarasenko wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nagurski keeps working.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nagurski can do anything to dispel that myth.
Nagurski is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tarasenko asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Nagurski is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Tarasenko asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Nagurski sneaks out the side door and pushes Tarasenko away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Nagurski takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Nagurski gets through Tarasenko's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Tarasenko drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nagurski looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nagurski looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nagurski!

Nagurski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tarasenko's waist but Tarasenko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nagurski off to one side.

That was a close second round but I would say that Vladimir Tarasenko will probably get the nod.

Nagurski swats away the attempt to clinch by Tarasenko.
Nagurski looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tarasenko is fending him off so far but Nagurski persists. Nope, Tarasenko circles away and we're back to standing.
