Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tappy McOut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Hawk has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Hawk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tappy McOut!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McOut misses with the combination.
Hawk looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hawk connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between McOut's hands.
Hawk misses with the combination.
Hawk lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Hawk keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McOut.

McOut closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hawk did well to prevent McOut getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
McOut not landing any meaningful shots this time.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hawk stops McOut from passing to mount.
Hawk dodges the ground and pound from McOut.
McOut sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hawk is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

McOut goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hawk rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McOut's guard! Nice work there by Hawk!

McOut has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hawk can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

McOut is looking for a triangle but Hawk pushes his legs off easily.

Hawk seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

McOut is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's time! Hawk's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Hawk throws a right hand that McOut ducks under and follows up with a left that McOut also avoids with ease.

Hawk connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Matt Hawk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McOut lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hawk backs up against the cage.

McOut takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hawk looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
McOut rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hawk moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McOut throws a hook to the side of Hawk's head but Hawk sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McOut closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hawk circles away.

McOut jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hawk is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hawk and McOut has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

McOut swings around for an armbar but Hawk sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into McOut's guard.

Hawk will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
McOut takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
McOut takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Matt Hawk will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McOut, as that shot connected.
McOut tries to bum rush Hawk with a series of wild strikes but Hawk uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
McOut moves out of range as Hawk strikes.
Horrible takedown by McOut or perhaps it was just good defense by Hawk which made him look bad.
Matt Hawk is winning the standup battle so far.
McOut is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hawk.
McOut takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

McOut is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hawk doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McOut.

Tappy McOut comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think McOut has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
