Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Victorio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tamotsu Nagaeri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Victorio kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Massive Attack - Angel. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nagaeri walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

It looks like Tamotsu Nagaeri has been cut.

Nagaeri tries to keep at a distance but Victorio has taken the fight into the clinch.
Victorio wants to get back to striking at distance but Nagaeri won't allow it.

Victorio keeps control of Nagaeri as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Victorio has had enough of the clinch but Nagaeri keeps him there for the moment.

That has opened up Tamotsu Nagaeri's cut even more.
Victorio wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Nagaeri has him pressed against the cage.
Victorio tries to break free but Nagaeri pushes him back against the cage.
Victorio is trying to break the clinch but Nagaeri has him pressed against the cage.
Victorio lands a right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nagaeri misses with a punch on the inside.
Victorio has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Nagaeri breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nagaeri finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Nagaeri takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Victorio shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Nagaeri manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Victorio passes into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Victorio is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Victorio lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Victorio is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Victorio stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Victorio closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nagaeri to the mat! Nagaeri manages to get full guard.

Victorio thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Victorio controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Victorio postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Tamotsu Nagaeri's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tamotsu Nagaeri's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
