Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimi Patrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grant Warburton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patrick comes to the ring accompanied by Dropkick Murphys - I'm Shipping Up to Boston. Grant Warburton is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Grant Warburton!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Warburton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Patrick, pushing him back against the ropes.

Warburton has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Patrick clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Warburton scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Patrick is looking for a way out.
Patrick has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Patrick manages to scramble and ends up in full guard, under a barage of strikes . Great composure from Patrick.
Patrick is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Warburton postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Warburton lands a couple of elbows.

Warburton has gone for a leg lock! Patrick slips out almost immediately though and dives into Warburton's guard.
Warburton is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Warburton keeping moving, preventing Patrick from controlling successfully.
Patrick wants to get up but he can't break Warburton's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Warburton wants to sweep here but Patrick controlling him for the moment.
Patrick in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Patrick throws a big right hand that misses.

Warburton working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Patrick has passed into half guard!
Patrick seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A punch combination from Patrick misses.
Patrick slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Patrick lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Warburton circles away quickly and effectively.
Patrick wants to clinch but Warburton slips to the side

so Warburton counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Patrick wants to stand but Warburton is controlling the position.

Patrick is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Warburton defends well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Warburton trying to control the position from guard on top but Patrick is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Warburton looks gassed!
Warburton looking to sit in guard and control but Patrick gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Patrick decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Patrick throws a right hand that Warburton ducks under and follows up with a left that Warburton also avoids with ease.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Warburton swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Patrick connects with a nice looking jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Warburton. Patrick does a little dance to reset his feet.
Patrick lands a nice shot to the body.
Warburton takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Good standup being displayed there by Patrick as he connects with a hook.
Patrick throws a left and a right that both miss

and Warburton counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Patrick is trying to stand back up but Warburton is controlling him
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Patrick kicks Warburton off and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jimi Patrick will probably get the nod.

Patrick lands a with a good body shot.
Patrick connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Warburton tumbling to the canvas! Patrick pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Warburton was done - good stoppage!
