Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Drake Barry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arttu Nieminen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barry's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, 3 AM. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Drake Barry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Nieminen.
You can see the frustration on Barry's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Nieminen stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Nieminen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Barry fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nieminen avoids it really well and circles away.
Barry shoots for a takedown but Nieminen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Barry cracks Nieminen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Nieminen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Barry is controlling him.
Barry postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barry stops Nieminen from standing up.
Barry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Nieminen pushes Barry off and scrambles back to his feet.
Nieminen tries to clinch up.
Barry will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Barry counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Nieminen wants to get back to his feet but Barry is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

and Barry counters with a takedown into side control.

and Barry counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nieminen won't be happy with that.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nieminen is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Barry asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Nieminen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Barry tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Nieminen wants to get back to his feet but Barry drags him back down.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Barry is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nieminen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nieminen tries to clinch there but Barry circles away.
Nieminen tries to land a leg kick but Barry saw it coming and moves away.
Nieminen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Barry looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Nieminen grinds an elbow into Barry's temple.

Nieminen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Barry, who protects the arm well.
Barry can't do much from the bottom here.
Nieminen wants to stand but Barry is controlling his arm.
Nieminen is breathing heavily.

Barry sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Barry manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Nieminen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Nieminen tries to stand but Barry is controlling from the bottom.
Barry bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nieminen's guard.

Nieminen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Nieminen feints and as Barry raises his hands in defense, Nieminen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Barry is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Barry manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nieminen is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Barry working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Nieminen looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Barry! Submission of the night perhaps?
