PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chu ck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chu ck told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Petrov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chu ck!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

ck lands a left and a right that send Petrov crashing to the mat, dazed. ck thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Ivan Petrov has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
ck defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Petrov.
Petrov fails with a takedown attempt.
Petrov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but ck paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Petrov clinches up against the cage.
ck looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Petrov tries to break the clinch but ck is controlling the position.
A right hook to the body lands for ck.
Petrov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. ck is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Petrov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Petrov fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Petrov wants a takedown.
Petrov is breathing heavily.
ck fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Petrov as ck tries to tie him up.
ck prevents a takedown attempt there.
ck is pressed up against the cage. Petrov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag ck down to the mat. ck avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

ck cracks Petrov with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Petrov looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can ck finish him?

ck ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Petrov's jaw. Petrov's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! ck does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
