Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boxing JiuJitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Johnson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Matt Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boxing JiuJitsu!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
JiuJitsu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
JiuJitsu ducks under a wild hook from Johnson.
Johnson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
JiuJitsu will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
JiuJitsu throws a jab but it's blocked by Johnson.
JiuJitsu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Matt Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boxing JiuJitsu.
Johnson slips a jab and a cross from JiuJitsu.
JiuJitsu wants to clinch.
Johnson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.


It looks like Matt Johnson has been cut.

JiuJitsu shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Johnson as he jumps to the side.
JiuJitsu uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Johnson.
Johnson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and JiuJitsu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A punch combination from Johnson misses.
JiuJitsu lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
JiuJitsu lands a lovely overhand right.
JiuJitsu wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance.
JiuJitsu avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
JiuJitsu shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
JiuJitsu shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnson sprawls well. He's pushed JiuJitsu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nice jab there from JiuJitsu.
Johnson stuffs the takedown.
JiuJitsu comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
JiuJitsu is trying hard to land a takedown here. Johnson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
JiuJitsu cracks Johnson with a good jab.
No luck for JiuJitsu with that takedown attempt.
JiuJitsu connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Johnson moves forwards but JiuJitsu connects with a nice, crisp jab.
JiuJitsu scores with a one two! Johnson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
JiuJitsu does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
JiuJitsu throws a jab but it's blocked by Johnson.
JiuJitsu lands a with a good body shot.
JiuJitsu loads up on a big right hand but Johnson slips the punch.
A lazy left from JiuJitsu finds it's target.

JiuJitsu pushes Johnson up against the cage in a clinch.
JiuJitsu tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Johnson smiles and moves away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from JiuJitsu is defended easily by Johnson.

JiuJitsu feints and as Johnson raises his hands in defense, JiuJitsu changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

JiuJitsu drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and JiuJitsu jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

JiuJitsu is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

JiuJitsu drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. JiuJitsu seems to have locked his on tight now - Johnson screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for JiuJitsu, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Boxing JiuJitsu!
