PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Abdi wali Mohammed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bailey Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mohammed is looking to clinch.
Harris fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mohammed manages to avoid it.
Harris looks to land a right hand but Mohammed moved out of range.
Harris throws a shot from downtown. Mohammed moves away and avoids it.
Harris fails with a takedown attempt.
Mohammed moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mohammed tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Harris paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Mohammed closes the distance and pushes Harris back into the cage.

Harris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Mohammed really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Harris shoots in and bounces Mohammed off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Harris postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mohammed is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Harris, into his guard.
Harris has a closed guard, preventing Mohammed from standing up.
Mohammed will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Harris is on top in guard.
Harris stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mohammed swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mohammed is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Harris is controlling him.

Harris drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Mohammed dives on top into guard.
Mohammed knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Harris on the ground.
Harris lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mohammed!

Mohammed bucks up and throws Harris to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
Harris shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mohammed pinned against the cage. Mohammed gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Harris crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mohammed - the referee stops the clock and Harris gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mohammed. Harris manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Harris ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Harris no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Mohammed got a little sloppy there for a moment and Harris has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mohammed has managed to get both his arms back between Harris's legs - danger averted.
