Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Putin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fairtex is trying to defend but Putin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Fairtex is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fairtex keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Putin shoots in and bounces Fairtex off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Putin is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Fairtex tries to stand but Putin is controlling from the bottom.

Fairtex got a little sloppy there for a moment and Putin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fairtex has managed to get both his arms back between Putin's legs - danger averted.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fairtex wanted to stand there but Putin had control of the position.
Putin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
