Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alfred Viik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Escudero Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alfred Viik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Escudero Escobar!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Escobar lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Viik has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Viik and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Viik slaps away a takedown attempt from Escobar, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Viik moves out of range of the leg kick from Escobar.
Escobar fails with a takedown attempt.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Viik has Escobar pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Escobar manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Escobar works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Escobar thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Escobar avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Viik is breathing heavily.

Escobar stands up and waves to Viik to follow him.
Escobar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Viik manages to avoid it.
Viik stuffs the takedown attempt from Escobar. Escobar gets slowly back to his feet.
Alfred Viik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Escudero Escobar.
Escobar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Viik as he avoids it easily.
A big right from Escobar misses.
Escobar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Viik's waist but Viik gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Escobar off to one side.

Escobar shoots in but no luck this time.

Viik feints and as Escobar raises his hands in defense, Viik changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Viik wants to control from the top but Escobar keeps moving.
Viik is looking to work some ground and pound but Escobar has wrist control.

Viik has gone for a leg lock! Escobar slips out almost immediately though and dives into Viik's guard.

Escobar works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Escobar seems to be looking for submissions.

Escobar is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Viik is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
