Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Padilha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sandor Clegane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gustavo Padilha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sandor Clegane!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clegane lands a nice hook to Padilha's body. Padilha takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Padilha shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Clegane napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Padilha wants to lay and pray for a moment but Clegane keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Clegane's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Clegane parries the strikes from Padilha easily there. Padilha is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Clegane to escape.
Padilha in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Clegane tries to bench press Padilha off him but Padilha keeps the position.
Padilha moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Padilha throws an elbow but Clegane slips to the side and avoids it well.

Padilha decides to stand back up.
Clegane looks to throw the jab but Padilha is out of range.
Some bone on bone action there as Clegane checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Padilha takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Clegane slaps away a takedown attempt from Padilha, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Padilha could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Padilha tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Padilha wants to clinch up but Clegane keeps it at a distance.
Padilha looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Clegane is fending him off so far but Padilha persists. Nope, Clegane circles away and we're back to standing.
Padilha gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Sandor Clegane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Padilha tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Padilha is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Padilha is breathing heavily.
Clegane thuds his right hand into Padilha's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Sandor Clegane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Clegane digs a good body shot into Padilha's ribs.
Clegane lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Clegane cracks Padilha with a big right hand and Padilha goes down!


Padilha is rocked!
Padilha knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Clegane on the ground.
Clegane postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Oh Padilha is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Padilha on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Padilha tries to get out of the position.
Padilha wants to sweep here but Clegane controlling him for the moment.
Padilha seems to have got his legs back now.
Clegane thows a big elbow that misses.
Padilha has a closed guard, preventing Clegane from standing up.

Padilha utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Clegane throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Padilha.

Padilha moves into the clinch.

Padilha decides to pull guard.
Clegane throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Padilha works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Padilha is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Padilha breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Padilha avoids a punch combination nicely.
Padilha misses with a jab, cross combination.
Padilha has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Padilha there as he acknowledges the shot.
Clegane avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Padilha ducks under a wild hook from Clegane.

Padilha fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Clegane, pushing him back against the cage.
Padilha lands a body punch in the clinch.
Padilha digs a right hand into Clegane's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Clegane's gas tank.
Padilha on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Padilha manages to break the clinch.

Padilha closes the distance and clinches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Padilha stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Padilha drags the fight down to the ground.
Clegane is looking to advance position but Padilha has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sandor Clegane dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!



Padilha shoots in and bounces Clegane off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Padilha trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Clegane wants to sweep but no luck.
Padilha scoring with punches to the head and body.
Padilha postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Clegane throws his legs up looking for a submission but Padilha uses it to pass to side control.

Padilha decides to stand back up. Padilha steps back and let's Clegane get back to his feet.
Padilha lands a nice looking body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Padilha drives through and clinches with Clegane against the cage.

Padilha lands a takedown into guard.
Padilha stands and throws Clegane's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Clegane has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Padilha is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Clegane can't do much from the bottom here.
Clegane tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Clegane is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Padilha has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Padilha is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Clegane's shoulder. That is not cool.
Padilha lands a nice forearm strike.

Clegane throws the left hand but Padilha avoids the punch easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Clegane looks to land a left hand but Padilha moved out of range nicely.
Clegane stuffs the takedown attempt from Padilha. Padilha gets slowly back to his feet.
Padilha is looking to clinch but Clegane is avoiding it.
Padilha pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Clegane leaves Padilha with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Padilha takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Clegane looks for the body kick but Padilha saw that one coming.
Sandor Clegane seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Clegane throws out a powerful jab.
Padilha lands a nice looking kick to the body. Clegane takes a step back to recover.
Horrible takedown by Padilha or perhaps it was just good defense by Clegane which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gustavo Padilha. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Padilha with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Clegane to score with a decent uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Padilha stands and steps away. Clegane gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Clegane connects with a right hand. Padilha shakes it off.

Padilha's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Clegane wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Padilha decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
The fighters circling - Clegane throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Padilha throws a series of punches but Clegane moves out of range.
Clegane throws a leg kick that is checked
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Padilha tries to clinch but Clegane moves out of range.
Padilha on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Clegane misses with a two punch combination.
Gustavo Padilha is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Clegane lands a glancing blow to the side of Padilha's head.

Clegane takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Padilha looks for the body kick but Clegane saw that one coming.
Padilha misses with a jab, cross combination.
Padilha moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Clegane connects with a good right hand that stumbles Padilha. Padilha circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Padilha gets the takedown into side control.

Padilha thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Gustavo Padilha overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Clegane is not content to let Padilha control the position.
Clegane regains half guard, as Padilha was trying to land strikes.

Padilha throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Padilha missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Clegane is looking to get back to is feet but Padilha passes into side control.
Clegane is trying to buck Padilha off.

Clegane is looking to regain half guard here but Padilha keeps moving and retains side control.
