Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dick Tanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitri Mikhailovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dick Tanner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dmitri Mikhailovich!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mikhailovich scores with a nice right hand.
Tanner misses with a takedown attempt - Mikhailovich sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tanner moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Mikhailovich shoots in and bounces Tanner off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Tanner escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mikhailovich gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Mikhailovich throws a series of strikes that have Tanner backpedaling.

Mikhailovich fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tanner sprawls well initially but Mikhailovich persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Tanner bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Tanner tries to move to full mount but Mikhailovich actually manages to regain half guard.
Tanner stalling away here and it's allowed Mikhailovich to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Mikhailovich wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Tanner is now in half guard.

Tanner is working for a kimura but Mikhailovich is defending it quite comfortably.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tanner in particular looking to stall.
Tanner is pressing down on Mikhailovich's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mikhailovich is holding on for now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Well, if Tanner is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Tanner postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mikhailovich is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tanner, into his guard.

Tanner has his foot on Mikhailovich's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mikhailovich works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dick Tanner will probably get the nod.

Mikhailovich throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tanner sees it coming and avoids it easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Tanner has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mikhailovich can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mikhailovich accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Tanner is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mikhailovich defends well.
Mikhailovich is pushing down on Tanner's leg trying to pass to half guard. Tanner is fighting to maintain full guard but Mikhailovich has managed to sneak the leg through.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mikhailovich connects with a nice short shot to Tanner's temple.

Dmitri Mikhailovich comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mikhailovich has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
