And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Brown.
Young misses with a double jab
enabling Brown to counter with a crisp jab.
Young avoids a punch combination nicely.
Brown slips under a jab from Young.
Brown looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Young stuffs the takedown attempt from Brown. Brown gets slowly back to his feet.

Brown rushes Young and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
Brown tries to score a body lock takedown but Young shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Brown has Young pressed against the ropes, preventing Young from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Brown manages to break the clinch.

Young lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brown circles away quickly and effectively.
Brown misses with a low kick as Young jumps back.
Young misses with a double jab
and Brown counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Young looks gassed!
Young avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Ricky Young is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Brown counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Young down! Brown is looking to finish but Young is intelligently defending himself.

Young is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brown drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brown jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Young is still in real trouble! Can Brown finish him?

Young has his feet on Brown's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Young seems to have recovered his senses.

Brown lands a nice leg kick that just misses Young's sensitive parts.
Brown throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Brown shoots for a double leg takedown but Young sprawls well. He's pushed Brown's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brown shoots in but Young avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Brown misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Young chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Brown can pounce on him.
Brown tried to score with a low kick but Young checks it.

Brown falls off balance throwing a combination
and Young counters with a series of strikes. Brown will be more careful next time no doubt.
Young misses the jab.
Young loads up on a big right hand but Brown slips the punch.
Young throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Brown cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Young misses with a few strikes there.
Brown cracks Young with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the ropes! Young falls to his knees and Brown doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
