Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vedad Zilic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Calloway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calloway has chosen When The Man Comes Around as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Calloway pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Calloway throws a hook but Zilic blocks it.
Calloway throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Horrible takedown by Zilic or perhaps it was just good defense by Calloway which made him look bad.
Calloway goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Zilic shoots for a double leg takedown but Calloway sprawls well. He's pushed Zilic's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Zilic avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Calloway will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Calloway fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zilic manages to avoid it.

Calloway tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zilic swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Calloway moves in looking to clinch but Zilic pushes him off.
Calloway throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The fight stays on the outside here - Calloway looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Zilic crunches a lovely knee into Calloway's ribcage.
Zilic tries to score a body lock takedown but Calloway shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Zilic has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Calloway uses from the top position.
Zilic has a closed guard, preventing Calloway from standing up.

Zilic isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Calloway stacks Zilic on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Calloway!
Calloway wants to stand but Zilic has his arm trapped.

Calloway looks to score with a jab to the body but Zilic is just out of range.

Zilic is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Calloway is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Zilic wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Calloway, who protects the arm well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Calloway sneaks out the side door and pushes Zilic away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Calloway tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Zilic counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Calloway's guard now.
Calloway wants to get back to his feet but Zilic is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Zilic drops back looking for a leg! Calloway is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Calloway manages to kick Zilic off! Zilic jumps back into Calloway's guard.
Calloway wants to stand but Zilic is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Calloway rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zilic moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Calloway takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Calloway tries to break the clinch but Zilic is controlling the position.

Zilic fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Calloway wants to break free but Zilic has control.

Calloway using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Zilic has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Zilic jumps guard but Calloway stands there with Zilic around his waist. Zilic gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Calloway wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Zilic's closed guard. He's half up but Zilic has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Zilic pivots and extends the arm, Calloway falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Zilic! Well done that man!
