The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Foster.
Ruas fails with an attempt to clinch.

Ruas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Foster, pushing him back against the cage.

The fight stays on the outside here - Ruas looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Foster tries to bum rush Ruas with a series of wild strikes but Ruas uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Foster throws a right and a left that Ruas avoids nicely.
Ruas thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Foster if he has to take too many more of those.
Oooh a lovely combination from Foster sends Ruas down but not out. Foster dives into side control looking to finish.

Ruas is rocked!

It looks like Anderson Ruas has been cut.
Foster landing strikes.
Oh Ruas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Foster lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ruas backwards.

and Foster connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Foster misses with a few strikes there.
Foster swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Foster swats away the attempt to clinch by Ruas.
Bill Foster seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Ruas is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ruas throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

and Ruas counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Foster keeping moving, preventing Ruas from controlling successfully.
Foster is still on wobbly legs! Can Ruas finish him?
Foster bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ruas's guard.
Foster seems to have recovered his senses.
Foster working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ruas's head.

Ruas is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Foster rolls with it to try and escape but Ruas cranks on the arm and Foster is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
