Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Kokoszynski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zver Borcuha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zver Borcuha will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zver Borcuha!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Illya Tyunina and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Let's hope that Borcuha has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Borcuha takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Despite being in the dominant position, Zver Borcuha just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Borcuha closes the distance and clinches up with Kokoszynski, looking for a takedown. Borcuha pushes Kokoszynski against the cage but Kokoszynski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kokoszynski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kokoszynski might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Borcuha is refusing to be controlled, as Kokoszynski sits in half guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Borcuha tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Some bone on bone action there as Borcuha checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Ivan Kokoszynski is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Kokoszynski counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Borcuha's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Kokoszynski is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Borcuha knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kokoszynski throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Borcuha works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kokoszynski thows a huge punch but Borcuha dodges it nicely.

Borcuha closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
