Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jebediah Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ralph Jar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reed comes to the cage accompanied by Eighties. Ralph Jar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ralph Jar!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jar closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Reed to the mat! Reed manages to get full guard.
Reed wants to stand but Jar is controlling the position.
Jar throwing strikes from guard but Reed blocks nicely.
Jar stops Reed from standing up.
Jar throws and elbow that misses. Reed uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jar's guard. Nice move by Reed!
Reed throws a strike but Jar rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Jar working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Reed's head.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jar's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Reed has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Jar won't allow Reed to sweep him here.
Jar lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Reed is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jar is controlling him.

Jar scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Reed jabs at Jar's body.
Reed dives in and grabs Jar's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jar pushes down on Reed's head and hops out.
Reed looks to score with a jab to the body but Jar is just out of range.
Jar misses with a double jab.
Jar ducks under a wild hook from Reed.

Jar darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Reed looks like he's trying to stand up.
Reed is breathing heavily.
Jar landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Reed is trying to control but can't.
Jar thows a huge punch but Reed dodges it nicely.
Reed is looking to control Jar's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Reed avoid being mounted?
Jar not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Jar scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Jar thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Reed is looking to escape.
Jar throwing shots but Reed is blocking nicely.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jar thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jar looks to throw the jab but Reed is out of range.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jar closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Jar moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Jar fails with the takedown.
Jar waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Reed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ralph Jar dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Nice defenses there by Reed.
Jar takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
No luck for Jar with that takedown attempt.
Jar lands the left hand.
Reed is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Reed connects with a body shot.

Reed gets the takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reed cracks Jar with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Reed tries to advance to mount but can't.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jar can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jar is looking for a sweep.
Jar looks to move to half guard but instead Reed has passed into mount! Damn!
Reed has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Reed fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Jar tries to hold on but Reed postures up.

Reed goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Jar is on top in guard.

Reed fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jar sprawls well initially but Reed persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Reed looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jebediah Reed overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Jar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Reed wants to control but Jar is having none of it.
A nice elbow there by Jar.
Reed is trying desperately to improve position.
Jar lands a big elbow.
The referee warns Reed that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Jar lands a nice shot to the head.


Reed is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jar lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Reed! Jar sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Reed and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ralph Jar!
