Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kraven Meatballs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Byson!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Meatballs misses its intended target.
Meatballs shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Byson pinned against the cage. Byson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Danga de danga de dang - Byson scores with a four punch combination!
Byson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Meatballs shoots for a double leg takedown but Byson sprawls well. He's pushed Meatballs's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Byson tries to bum rush Meatballs with a series of wild strikes but Meatballs uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Meatballs is trying hard to land a takedown here. Byson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kraven Meatballs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Meatballs throws a right and a left that both miss.
Meatballs throws the left hand but Byson avoids the punch easily.
Byson throws a series of punches but Meatballs moves out of range.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Byson throws a combination that misses

and Meatballs counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Byson can do anything to dispel that myth.
Meatballs sitting in guard here, content to control.
Meatballs trying to control the position from guard on top but Byson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Byson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Byson wants to stand but Meatballs is controlling the position.
Meatballs seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Byson pushes Meatballs off and gets back to his feet.

Byson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Byson throws a series of punches but Meatballs avoids them all with ease.
Byson throws a predictable looking body shot

and Meatballs decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Byson's guard.

Byson wants to get back to his feet but Meatballs is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Meatballs drops back looking for a leg! Byson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Byson manages to kick Meatballs off! Meatballs jumps back into Byson's guard.
Byson wants to stand up but Meatballs is controlling him.
Meatballs postures up.
Byson wants to stand up but Meatballs is controlling him.
Meatballs passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Meatballs wants to lay and pray for a moment but Byson keeps working.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kraven Meatballs dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Byson takes a swing at Meatballs's ribcage but misses.
Byson throws a series of punches but Meatballs avoids them all with ease.
Mike Byson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Byson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Meatballs.


It looks like Mike Byson has been cut.
Byson throws a looping overhand right but Meatballs ducks down to avoid it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Meatballs.

Byson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Byson lands the left hand.
Byson throws a combination that misses

and Meatballs counters with a takedown into side control.

Meatballs tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Meatballs has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Byson tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Meatballs is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Byson won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Meatballs off his unconscious opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kraven Meatballs!
