Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maks Piotrowicz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shane Liddell has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Maks Piotrowicz's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Liddell looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Piotrowicz tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Liddell throws a big right hand that misses.
Liddell would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Liddell postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Piotrowicz wants to stand up but Liddell is controlling him.

Liddell gets to his feet. Piotrowicz looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Piotrowicz tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Liddell is able to avoid easily.

Liddell shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Piotrowicz napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Liddell misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Liddell is trying to ground and pound but Piotrowicz uses the momentary lack of control by Liddell to regain half guard.

Liddell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Piotrowicz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Liddell thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Liddell throws a strike but Piotrowicz avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Piotrowicz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Liddell gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Liddell swats away the attempt to clinch by Piotrowicz.
Liddell's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Liddell duly obliges.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Liddell.

Liddell decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Piotrowicz is breathing heavily.

Liddell gets a takedown into half guard.

Liddell swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Piotrowicz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Liddell to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Liddell gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Liddell shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Liddell was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Liddell lands a big shot there that rocks Piotrowicz but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Liddell cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
